I want to share with you my journey and whole thought process of the last three months. First of all, I will tell you what is generative AI. I have a definition for you guys.
Generative AI is a type of artificial intelligence that creates new content—such as text, images, music, and even code—by learning patterns from existing data and mimicking human creativity.
This definition gives a good overview, but let me provide a bit more context to help you to understand it better.
The Evolution of AI
AI has been in development for several decades, with contributions from generations of brilliant researchers. Over the years, various techniques have been used to build AI systems, including:
- Symbolic AI – Used for creating expert systems.
- Fuzzy Logic – Applied in decision-making systems.
- Evolutionary Algorithms – Inspired by natural selection.
- Natural Language Processing (NLP) & Computer Vision – Specialized fields in AI.
However, the most impactful breakthrough in AI has been Machine Learning (ML)
How Generative AI is Different
Power of Generative AI Till two-three years ago, people used to say this about AI that No matter how strong systems you make, AI is not going to replace human creativity, at least right now, but guess what within Two years after the advent of Generative AI, this statement has become completely false. Now today, human creativity can very easily be mimicked with the help of Generative AI and this is the biggest superpower that Generative AI has.

Where Does Generative AI Fit in the AI Landscape?
Let us quickly see where Generative AI comes in this entire AI landscape. If you’ve seen AI hierarchy diagrams above, you’ll know that AI is the broadest category. Within AI, various subsets exist, including Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and now Generative AI. It represents the next step in AI’s evolution—moving from analysis and prediction to creation and innovation.
